An eventful April for Datura Curse So many big things have happened in the world of Datura Curse in the past two months we do not know where to begin! The 'First Rays' film clip debuted in April and has since received multiple plays on MTV Headbangers Ball, including an appearance on the best of Aussie metal clips episode. Watch here.
April 30th saw us take the stage with the iconic Arch Enemy. The packed house, the warm reception from the crowd and the honour of sharing a stage with the best in the business made this a night we will not soon forget.

We have BIG news on the Datura Curse front Along with our friends ‘As Silence Breaks’, we were given the supporting slot for the Swedish titans known as ARCH ENEMY. We were so excited by this news we totally forgot to actually put the notice on our website!! They are coming to Australia soon on their massive world “Khaos tour” and it is an absolute honour to be given the chance to play with them, especially as they are one of our biggest influences!
This is a massive step for us, and as always, THANK YOU to ALL our fans for listening to our music, spreading the word and even just messaging us to tell us what you think! We really do appreciate everything you guys do, and can’t wait to perform for you all!

The Datura Curse machine hasn't stopped After a full year since the first release, their EP 'Reason(s)', Datura Curse have toured extensively. From South Australia to Melbourne, all the way up to the sunny state Queensland, before heading back to their hometown in Sydney to finish off 2011 at Club Venom, with the support slot for 'Segression'. With 2012 being a more relaxed schedule, the boys have set their sights on writing their first full length album. With 6 new songs under the belt already they are keen to start the pre-production process. This time, the feelings are to stay in Sydney, where more time can be spent on the writing/recording process, to ensure that the full length album will be the best and biggest thing they have achieved yet! 22.01.2012
Gold Coast and Brisbane
Hey everyone, just a quick update from the Datura boys. We have been on the road promoting our EP 'Reason(s)',
and our first interstate show was Adelaide. It was the first time for some of us in this city, and we absolutely
loved it. I've always known Adelaide for world class wine, but unfortunately there was none of that to be had after
our 18 hour drive down (Thanks to a slight miscalculation of fuel requirements and Family Guy being on...). As
soon as we stepped off the bus at the venue we knew it was going to be an awesome show, with the boys from Octanic
greeting us at the door. We played the show alongside Devonera, Quaero Verum and of course Octanic, all of whom put
on amazing sets. Topping the night off was the free jugs of beer supplied by the Crown and Anchor hotel, which really
pushed all the bands closer together when they realised everyone in the room was an alcoholic. The night went well into
the morning, with many friends for years to come being made.
We again would like to thank everyone we shared the stage with, drank with or versed in pool (including the crazy
old man who insisted he didn't want to take his pants off...but clearly did).
Adelaide we can't wait to come back!!

Reason(s) goes to press - The debut Datura Curse EP Reason(s) is now being pressed at MadCd's in St Peters, due Friday 13th of May (lucky date!). The EP will be available on our website, at all upcoming gigs, and on June 11th at our official EP launch at Club Venom! - The Agincourt Hotel 871 George St. Sydney. 06.05.2011
Datura Curse in a compilation album - Datura Curse has been selected, with 15 other Australian metal bands to be part of the Welkin Entertainment compilation album. This is the fourth edition of The Euphony Fusion which were distributed to radio, media and to fans at the recent The Haunted and Morbid Angel Australian tours. Datura Curse thanks Tim Charles, the man behind the album, and all the talented Aussie bands that made this such a quality compilation. 02.05.2011
Bass player found! - As you may know, shortly after the recording of the Reason(s) EP for reasons personal and professional ,we parted ways with our former bassist Michael Russell. After months of searching for a replacement, Michael George became the newest member of the Datura Curse family. We wish Michael Russell the best of luck in his future projects. 22.04.2011
